Fasoracetam, also known as NS-105 is a member of the racetam family that may work to improve overall brain function, including, memory, attention and mood.
Recommended dosage for Fasoracetam is generally 20mg 1-3 times per day.
Fasoracetam Mode of Action
Fasoracetam works by positively affecting the brain receptors acetylcholine, GABA and glutamate. Acetylcholine is a neurotransmitter that plays a vital role in arousal, memory, learning, and neuroplasticity. The GABA (B) up-regulation works as an antidepressant and anti-anxiety. Additonally, glutamate is generally known to be one of the most important neurotransmitters for normal brain function.
Exact toxicity is not yet known, however the highest recommended dose is generally 100mg. Additionally, use by elderly people is not recommended as Fasoracetam metabolism is heavily dependent on kidneys and significant accumulation has been reported in those with compromised renal function.
